Glass beyond Glass
Dutch designer Carina Riezebos and Belgian company Saido present “Glass beyond Glass. A new circular materialization,” exploring new possibilities for discarded materials.
Recycled car-window glass, remnants from Riezebos’ own glass production, and denim are incorporated into a mineral composite. Rather than remelting the glass, the process preserves its fragments within the composite, bringing glass and textile together in a different form.
The vases were made in Benevento, southern Italy, using Chroma Composites’ Mersus® technology.
